BMW X5 E70/X6 E71 car radio with CarPlay & Android Auto 2007-2013

BMW X5 E70/X6 E71 car radio with CarPlay & Android Auto

Upgrade your BMW X5 E70 or X6 E71 from model years 2007 to 2013 with a modern aftermarket car radio system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The unit gives the car a more up-to-date multimedia experience with navigation, music, hands-free calls, messages and compatible apps directly on the screen.

This car radio is not an ordinary universal unit. The model is made for the supported BMW models, so the screen, cables and connections are, as a starting point, adapted to the car when the original infotainment system and the car’s existing setup match this model. This gives a more integrated solution in the dashboard and retains the car’s characteristic interior.

With wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto you can connect your iPhone or Android phone without a cable. You can then use Google Maps, Apple Maps, Spotify, phone calls, messages and other compatible apps, among other things, directly via the screen.

Supported models

• BMW X5 E70 2007-2013

A modern multimedia upgrade for your BMW

The BMW X5 E70 and X6 E71 are popular models with a stylish and driver-oriented interior. The original infotainment system can, however, feel limited compared with newer solutions, particularly when it comes to smartphone integration, navigation and access to modern apps.

With this aftermarket car radio you get a modern upgrade where the phone’s most important functions are brought together on the car’s screen. You can use navigation, play music from your favourite apps, make hands-free calls and use compatible apps via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

The unit is suitable for daily driving, commuting, family trips and longer drives, where you want easy access to navigation, music and calls directly from the car’s infotainment system.

Important to know before buying

This BMW car radio is made for the supported models, so the screen, cables and connections are, as a starting point, adapted to the car. This gives a more integrated solution than a universal car radio and makes installation more straightforward.

Please note, however, that there may be differences between the cars’ original infotainment systems, connectors, screen sizes and trim levels. Compatibility can depend, among other things, on whether the car is fitted with a CCC or CIC system and on the car’s original sound and screen setup.

Please therefore check that the product’s variant and connections match the car’s original system before ordering. If you are in doubt, you can send a picture of the car’s current screen and main menu to hello@carradioexpert.ie, and we will help you check the correct solution.

If you want to install the car radio yourself, you can send an email to hello@carradioexpert.ie, and we will find a relevant installation guide for you.

If you are not comfortable installing the unit yourself, we recommend getting help with the installation. You can consult a local mechanic if you want professional installation.
